Overview
Lake Hills Montessori School, located at 5130 E 101st Street in Tulsa, Oklahoma, serves children approximately ages 18 months to 6 years old, offering a private, Montessori early childhood education.
Founded by Tulsa native Jodie Whitman and inspired by a sister school in Austin, the Tulsa campus opened in 2006 and has since expanded into a larger building with spacious classrooms and outdoor areas.
The school follows a traditional Montessori curriculum, focusing on exploration, play, and individualized learning to develop concentration, independence, and a lifelong love of learning. Classrooms are designed with child-sized furniture, accessible materials, and observation mirrors for parents.
In addition to core academics, students enjoy enrichment activities like dance, Spanish, music, art, yoga, soccer, and gardening.
The campus includes a large shaded playground and an organic garden where children can plant, tend, and harvest.
